Sunshine State Sustainable Classroom
A modular system of recycled denim insulated exterior metal wall panels, and clear, low-e, large missile impact glazing. Primary roof-mounted air conditioning on isolation pads reduces strain on system due to shade produced by secondary roof structure. Secondary solar panel roof structure used to power lighting and electrical outlets. Terra-cotta screen reduces heat and allows natural light into classroom. Recycled rubber flooring for classroom. Energy efficient fluorescent linear lighting fixtures. Cost saving exposed interior ceilings. Total ADA compliance and accessibility throughout. Complete bolt on/bolt off construction allows for easy transport and erection. Light weight recycled aluminum elements in shop fabricated, unitized panel systems. All systems meet, or exceed, Miami-Dade County’s product approval. Integral color panels allow for multiple color options at minimal cost to incorporate regional aesthetics. The two shifting rectangles represent a new paradigm in education, shifting the way we approach modular classroom design.
